If the answer is yes - why not become a sponsor of our new community Animal Care Centre - join us in making this dream a reality! The committee of the Homeless Animal Society & Boarding Kennels Inc T/A Paws and Claws Kennels Port Douglas invites you to become a sponsor of a wonderful new facility providing love and care for both short and long term homeless and neglected domesticated animals in the Douglas Shire. You can become involved in the building of the Animal Care Centre at Craiglie via Port Douglas. This purpose built facility will replace an existing refuge which can no longer provide long term care for those animals that need it most. As a sponsor you will have the satisfaction of being part of creating a special place for these forgotten animals as well as being able to now claim any donations you may make as a tax deduction.

Also, thank you to all the locals and visitors who have added to our donation bin at Coles, we have had a sudden splurge and our donation bin was overflowing in a matter of about 3 days, Thanks!

	Carnivale 2006
	The Paws and Claws committee would like to thank those who supported the team in the Port Douglas Carnivale during May 2006. Many thanks to the staff at Paws and Claws - Bianca, Rachel and Jacqueline who participated in the parade along with Sue, Jane, Helen, Debbie, Robin & Kai. A special thanks to Jenny Baker from Port Douglas, the creative designer of the costumes; Robin Jenkinson from Arjay Advertising Cairns who supplied the artwork for the banner and Sign by Design in Cairns who produced the banner. Well done to everyone - we looked great !!


	Donations The kennels are always looking for food, toys and bedding for the dogs, puppies, cats and kittens it looks after. We are especially in need of kitty litter at the moment!! If you wish to make a donation we have bins at the following places:
	Coles Store - Macrossan Street, Port Douglas
	IGA Store - Corner Port Douglas Rd & Cook Hwy, Port Douglas
	Or you can drop off directly at the refuge at Lot 1, Captain Cook Highway, Craiglie. Opening hours are everyday 8am to 12noon and 2pm to 4pm
